I’m so sorry I haven’t updated you all regarding my confusion with the inhalers. I had a message from “Biddy ” at BLF, reminding me of their Helpline. So I rang them and the nurse to whom I spoke was really helpful. She explained that sometimes several inhalers need to be tried before the right one is found. So, I’m continuing with the Spiriva for a week and will see whether it’s better for me. I’ll let you know in due course!!

Glad you’ve spoken to the helpline Janann and I hope the Spiriva works for you. Let us know how things go in due course. Xxx💜
It was a long time before I found inhalers that suited me and helped Janann. It is very often a case of try it and see as the BLF nurse explained. It can also take a month to get the full effect of some inhalers so always worth persevering unless they make you feel worse in any way in which case ley your doctor or nurse know. Keep in touch and let us know how you get on xx
So pleased you rang the helpline for advice I hope things work out well and you find the right inhalers for your mam. Hope you both have a good night and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx
lad you've found some useful advice. I hope it won't be too long before you find an inhaler that suits you.
I tried 4 before I realised that I was intolerant to the propellant in aerosol inhalers, and changed to a dry powder one (which I think Spiriva is). But it is the opposite with some people, and I’m afraid it’s more trial and error than science. But there are plenty of alternatives out there, so keep trying!
Hope you find something that helps you soon. I have changed inhalers too. But it's difficult to know when something is helping. Because obviously we will never get back to the full lung function we had before. I have been on Relvar Elipta. But changed to Trelegy now to cover Asthma as well. But just starting my 3rd week on it tomorrow. Good luck Brian
