Urso for PBC
While liver biopsy didn't show features of PBC or
AIH
, I am strongly AMA positive (highly suggestive of PBC), and have mild periportal and interface lymphohistiocytic inflammation with eosinophils. Have also had elevated liver enzymes over an extended period.

Hi, I was diagnosed earlier this year with both PBC and

Good evening all. Since January I have experienced liver issues which was initially thought to of been caused by a virus and assumed I’d make a full recovery despite my liver being inflamed and having highly elevated liver counts after a course of Steroids My levels did return to normal and I seemed

Feeling fed up
Second time seeing specialist and apart from signs in liver biopsy pointing to
AIH
the scans don’t seem to show much. Don’t seem to get told much by Specialist and don’t seem to keep me updated.

Hospitalized December’23 with ALT 2300+ AST 1700+ DX
AIH
. Levels moving in right direction with Imuran and prednisone titrating down 5mg weekly from 60mg. Frustrating though that I don’t know if my actions are directly positively or negatively affecting my symptoms or labs.

Stage 4 fibrosis of the Liver
I contracted Hepatitis A in 2020, undiagnosed for 2 months. Six months later I was told I had NALD and last year I was sent for ultrasound scans and blood tests to check for cancer. In March this year, I was told I had Stage 4 Fibrosis of the liver. Does anyone know if this can be reversed, any treatments

ALT - Alanine Transaminase
This is a blood test performed as part of your routine liver panel test. It is released more so by the
hepatocytes -(liver cells)
so it's associated more with hepatitis rather than PBC. ALT can be elevated in both non responders

A trick for faster sleeping
Counting backwards can help you fall asleep faster by shifting your focus away from worries and regrets and forcing your brain to stay in the present. Here are some counting techniques that may help you fall asleep: Count backwards from 100 in multiples of three: This rhythm can put you in a sleepy

Thin, fragile skin
I thought it might be helpful to post this for those of us with very thin, easily damaged skin. It’s one of the many hazards of long-term, high dose steroid use, including inhalers. Of course, if it weren’t for steroids I wouldn’t be here, so I’m glad they’re available. After decades of steroid use

Imuran Side Effects
Taking Imuran for about 5 weeks, started been experiencing many of the initial symptoms I felt before diagnosis at about 2 weeks. At first thought treatment not working, but labs still heading towards normal range. Still titrating down on prednisone . Skipped Imuran a couple days and the nausea, fever

Information
Hi all. I have had some bad attacks over the last several months when I’m in a crowded place and it’s noisy, so much so that I’ve had to leave the building. I think I know what causes it having completed a first aid course in 1976 but just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. It’s like a panic

*Long Read Warning* How do you know if you’re getting better mentally?
Just need to vent, if you read this and commented thankyou, it helps getting another perspective on the situation. Male, 20 Parents went through a divorce in 2022 and it was ugly to say the least. (Mom was an alcoholic, dad was a cop and emotionally distant due to his Mexican culture and upbringing
