At the end of my rope with Agoraphobia, and my mind.
Then changed overtime, and became severe
agoraphobia
. I was housebound for two years. Then, i just got out a little and found a job in 2017. Manager was extremely malicious, so i had enough and decided to quit. Found a better job, that i loved, for almost a year.

Lack of public loos
I`ve actually not left home for more than a month now - I had
agoraphobia
when I was much younger and am worried I am heading back down that road. I can`t face shopping if it involves queueing and not being able to access a loo if I need one.

Update on death anxiety
I also have
agoraphobia
, so I went out with some friends to the “open space” we’ll call it 🤣, and just made myself calm, explained to myself that THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!

Acceptance overcomes all.
Agoraphobia
where anxiety persuades us to remain in the sanctuary of our home to protect us from non existent monsters that stalk the great outdoors. Or derealisation where tired nerves give the false impression that we have withdrawn from the reality of life even though physically we remain.

Severe anxiety
So I’ve recently been diagnosed with GAD and panic disorder with
agoraphobia
. I’ve been dealing with this anxiety for about 6 weeks now. My anxiety is so bad that it has mentally taken over everything. It’s like I have no control over my body or mind anymore.

Anyone else reading 'The Woman in the Window' by A. J. Finn?
What got my attention the most was that the main character suffers from
agoraphobia
-its very interesting to follow along with her thoughts and actions. If you're into reading and enjoy a suspenseful book, I highly recommend it!

Agoraphobia- How do you cope?
For agoraphobes, many symptoms vary by severity, I am luckily able to leave my apartment and live for the most part a 'normal' life. BUT I do have several moments, I am wondering how those who also suffer from it ( from the most extreme to the acute)- cope in their moments of flight or fight. In my case

Feel more mentally disabled than usual
Maybe the
agoraphobia
is just a new habit brought on by the virus. Laziness? Finding a job after a burnout or difficulties from anxiety and feeling low or burned out can be very scary. Make me feel insecure.

Agoraphobia Help!
Help! i really am struggling to get out of the house again. Being outside feels so uncomfortable and makes me feel so disorientated and anxious. All i can think about is going home and how quickly it is to get home. I try and get out everyday but lately my comfort zone is getting smaller and smaller.

On the bright side...
At least my
agoraphobia
and social anxiety has come to some good use. I have been social distancing and self-isolating pretty much my entire adult life!

I’ve had enough pain.
As I have
agoraphobia
and cannot go into stores to pick up my prescriptions or food. As my moms wife screamed to me last night “I should disappear forever and everyone would be so much better off without me.” I guess that’s true. My mom tells me I’m a burden, as well as my grandma.

Being home.... no panic attacks
But I use to suffer from
agoraphobia
over 30 yrs ago. I just was wondering if I was the only one. I know I still worry about what’s going on but no attacks no extra clonopin

So, something to chew on... ((yes I will always care for my family)) but- just for some biological reason, doesn’t mean you owe them sh*t
And yes, having
agoraphobia
and all these other types of chronic fears, definitely play a big part. I know it’ll take time. I was really thinking about taking my mom up on the ride to my appointment. But have a friend come with me, someone more neutral.
