Cortisol help
I have consistently had low blood cortisol on pre 9am tests (around 220) and my two saliva tests showed lower than optimal cortisol, especially in a morning. However, a recent cortisol test showed it as 593 serum (101-536). This was a retest from one the previous month, which was around 300, the

My enocrinologist appt today - first in 6 years
I have been having very clear high cortisol problems. My private saliva tests showed this. But my GP was only interested if it was Cushings. I have been on T3 only since 2016, 20mcg prescribed by my original endo and the rest self funded. When the cortisol problem became severe (very high BP and periods

Adrenal insufficiency or thyroid disease?
Hi All, Recently I was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency, so I’ve been spending a lot of time canvassing lots of different addisons & adrenal insufficiency forums and communities to get a gauge of what people think of my test results… I’ve made a slightly shocking revelation during this time -

Cortisol questions
As I've just done my cortisol tests I've been pondering things. 1) How quickly do cortisol levels change? I know they change throughout the day but do they change week to week? Could my cortisol, for example, come back ok this week but if I do it next week the results would be dreadful? 2) if my results

ACTH Cortisol test enquiry
Afternoon all I had an ACTH test done at the request of my GP because my early morning blood cortisol test was 133 (ref 113 - 532). I am attaching 2 pages of results. The consultant says I'm fine but I want to run it past folk on here because I'm not so sure. I certainly don't feel fine. I don't understand

Morning Cortisol low-not Addison's-dismissed by consultant
First post so hello everyone! Short history of me, underactive thyroid since age 25 after RAI (overactive from age 19), my thyroid has been stable on Levo for years until I was diagnosed with severe Endometriosis and had 2 surgeries and hormonal treatments to try to control it. Since then I haven't

cortisol & DHEA results
Hi, I tested my cortisol and DHEA because I am concerned I might have addisons in addition to hashis and I wanted to check my theory before asking my gp to investigate. I got my results back today (attached) My DHEA and cortisol are low so I think it’s reasonable for me to ask if I can be tested.

Hypothyroidism and fluctuating low cortisol. What to look for privately?
Can anyone direct me where to seek help for the low cortisol fluctuations I am experiencing? It seems I’m on my own trying to sort out low cortisol that isn’t severe enough on blood test to be worth the NHS exploring further. Due to increasing fatigue when my “usual” thyroid & cofactors lab results

What is "normal" morning cortisol level. Don't know much about this so would appreciate advice
Hi again I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me what the normal range for morning cortisol should be. I had mine checked in october last year and it was 324 just after 9am. I dont know much about cortisol and everything i can find is about addisons disease and i clearly dont have that.

Synacthen test results?
Hiya, I had an SST test last Wednesday and haven't yet had the results back. I was wondering, anyone diagnosed with Addison's disease or further investigated for secondary adrenal insufficiency, was your endocrinologist quick to tell you your test result and proceed with treatment or more tests? I'm

#1: The Start
Following the example of Clarebear I've decided to document my thyroid-adrenal journey on here in hopes it'll keep me accountable, and also may serve some after me. After a long, complicated history of no diagnosis, followed by lithium treatment, then prolonged time spent on T4 with no improvement,

Vitamin D & tolerating thyroid medication
Hello, Thanks so much for your time in reading my post, I would really appreciate any/all opinions on this. I am currently investigating why, ever since I crashed from 2 years of Keto, I can't tolerate thyroid medication. I have discovered I have extremely low adrenal function and am now treating

Short Synacthen Test
My NHS endo has just offered me an SST. I've read a few posts on here which indicate that unless you have Addisons, it's not a particularly useful test. Is this the case, and would anyone who's had the test please give their experience. Many thanks.

Addisons?
Hi, thoughts please from the wisdom of this forum. My 22 yr old son (adopted) has diagnosed attachment disorder and ADHD. He suffered fainting spells 16/17 and had heart tests and was put on tilting table. Nothing conclusive. Temperature is always low. Had one cv injection, had a bad reaction. Always

10 Year Anniversary
A few weeks ago I realized this is the ten-year anniversary of when I started dialysis. I started in August of 2013 in the days after I had a knee surgery. I was 14 years old. I'm now 24 years old. In the time since I started dialysis I started and finished high school, started and finished college,

Fludrocortisone dose
Has anyone else found that they have to lower their Fludrocortisone dose when they have raised their Levothyroxine dose, and if so by what ratio?
