Suspected Cushings or just hypo
Hey everyone, My endo is sending me for an MRI of pituitary and CT of chest, pelvis, abdomen and adrenals. My salivary cortisol seems to go up a lot after adding t3, my blood cortisol is over range and I'm having issues raising thyroid meds, keeping me in a hypo state. Apparently I could have a tumour

Endocrinologist recommendations in/near West Sussex for Addison's / adrenals
Can anybody recommend an endocrinologist in West Sussex or nearby please who knows about adrenals and Addison's? It comes as no surprise to me, but a private blood screen has just shown very low cortisol levels and a couple of other bits, that suggest an adrenal problem, possibly Addison's. I've not

Low cortisol .. next steps
Hello everyone I recently did the 4 point saliva cortisol test and the result was low cortisol at all 4 points, but particularly in the morning. It helped explain why I find it so hard to get out of bed and struggle with low energy all morning. My DHEA is also low. I then had a Short Synacthen test

Supplements for adrenal support
I’ve been researching supplements for low cortisol / adrenal support and find the whole subject very confusing. Some information suggests that high cortisol is the reason for adrenal fatigue and recommends supplements which are ‘calming’ and lower cortisol. Other sources claim, quite rightly, that

Imnusupressants Post Transplant
Hello,Im wondering how this whole suppressed immune system works? My husband and I have got covid (6 weeks post TP for him). The whole household has pretty much had it all at the same time, but how will hubbys recovery differ? Is he less likely to recover as quick, more prone to secondary infection

Tacrolimus vs cyclosporin
Hi, I am currently working with my rheumatologist to plan for second pregnancy. My daughter is 3.5 years old and I was on tacrolimus during my pregnancy (I usually take MMF). I remained relatively well and stable throughout but there were alot of issues with maintaining the tacrolimus concentration

Good News!!!
My dr. approved the buprenorphine for me. I am thinking positive that it will work. She is giving me the patch. I am excited. I have to discontinue the horizant though which surprised me and of course discontinue the oxycodone. Hopefully now you won't have to listen to me complaining and I will

itching
I had a transplant 18 months ago and 6 days ago the hospital reduced my Tacrolimus and increased my Prednisolone to improve my kidney function (although it was no worse than it has been since the transplant). I’m gradually increasing the Tac and decreasing the Prednisolone but today lve started itching

Vasculitis in the pancreas?
Has anyone with GPA or MPA been diagnosed with pancreatic issues due to vasculitis? Hubby had has GPA for 15 years, kidney transplant and sinus involvement and most often in remission until now. He has lost 40 pounds( not trying) and must take enzymes to digest food with a very bland diet. All this happened

Cortisol help
I have consistently had low blood cortisol on pre 9am tests (around 220) and my two saliva tests showed lower than optimal cortisol, especially in a morning. However, a recent cortisol test showed it as 593 serum (101-536). This was a retest from one the previous month, which was around 300, the

Fatty Liver
hi all, i had ultra sound and Doc said it was fatty liver. I told him i was currently being treated for bladder cancer and he said I needed to go back to GP . GP has now done more bloods and i suspect she is testing for liver cancer. Initially I had an ALT of 37 and it increased to 52. All other liver

Few thoughts on Parkinson's
PD is a multi factor illness (except some rare inherited cases of Parkinson's m)...I would say with no particular order:1, some chronic bacterial low grade intracellular infection(s) the more co infections the better :)ideally in head area, sinuses, dents etc. 2, bad lifestyle and dietary habits - sugar

Post Skin Biobsy Horribleness
I had a skin biopsy yesterday using local anaesthetic, standard skin puncture and a couple of stitches. I actually felt quite well after the procedure but feel like I've been run over by a truck today. I took 5mg of hydrocortisone about an hour ago and now feel slightly better. Is adrenal output taxed

My Cetrotide injection spilled, I’m worried
Hi, so I was on day 2 of my Cetrotide injection and spilled a lot of it when I didn’t realize bubbles in the syringe. I could only inject a little more liquid that was left. Should I be worried? My doctor put me on 3 more Cetrotide for the weekend. I am seeing her on Monday morning and due for possible

Poor Stormy
My doggy had to have surgery on his front paw today. He injured it about 10 days ago and I took him to the vet that I have used before. They said just let it rest and it should be fine. Well, it got massively worse all of a sudden. I took him today after being up with him all night in pain. His paw was
