Hello community - I was on Oxycodone in the form of Targin 35mg a 24 hour period for 3 months for cancer pain. It worked really well for my RLS but stopped working after 3 months. I asked my doctor if I can try Bupramorphine instead. I have been given 20mg 7 day patch which works well for pain but not for my RLS. She has just given me Temgesic sublingual tablets 200mcg to take at night in the hope that it may help my RLS. Could the community give me some advice on this dosage - is it a good dose to start?

Lotte uses the patch AND the pills to deal with breakthrough RLS at day 4 to 7.I think you can take it around 2 hours before normal 'sleep' time.

Hopefully it will stop the RLS.

The average dose of Buprenorphine for RLS is between 1 and 1.5mg so you have room to increase.

If 200mcg doesn't work, try 2 x 200mcg or 3 x 200mcg. It's still a low dose.

I take 400mcg. Many on here take higher doses.

The inflammation from the cancer will be worsening the RLS.

I hope it helps.
