Covid Vaccination

My partner is taking Adoport after a transplant 5 years ago. He has had both Pfizer doses & thought he was quite safe. After reading said post I am now worried that he should be continuing to take extra precautions . If this is the case why hasn't his medical team advised him of this?

Immune suppressants?

Others that i have met on the liver unit that were transplanted around the same time as me, December 2019, or later are prescribed Prograf and Adoport, both slow release. Curious to know why? Many thanks.

Tacro /adoport toxicity

Hi, I take 5 mg prednisolone and 250mg MMF at around 7.00 after breakfast and 6mg Tacro at 9.0 am. Around 11.00 am I’m wiped out, interval shakes and trembles ... nearly 1 year post transplant . This is a recent thing and I’ve just had Tacro reduced from 7mg to 6mg in last month. Any suggestions

Blocked bile ducts

I feel fine apart from constant headaches which they had hoped that reducing my Adoport would sort out.

Some really good news and some really bad news.

At the moment the only medication I take for my liver is 2mg of Adoport (tacrolimus) daily. As things are going so well I am to have my Adoport reduced again (all being well) at the next clinic in 3 months time.

Any better suggestions?

I just accidentally took my tomorrow's anti-rejection medicines (adoport , prednisolone) 7 hours early (instead of my vitamins) I plan to take next scheduled dose 14 hours later (instead of 12) , and each thereafter one hour later until back on schedule . . .

Any decline in kidney function after changing from prograf to adoport

He was changed in the spring from prograf to adoport. Since then his kidney function seems to be declining. Has anyone else found this the case as well. He was perfectly fine before

Unexpected liver transplant due to unexplained liver failure

My biopsy was last month and although my alts were still deranged my adoport was reduced. Two weeks later and alt increased again so adoport was increased. At clinic today and if bloods dont improve I've to get another biopsy (im hoping the increase in adoport will hopefully sort bloods out).

Adoport

Prograf used for immune suppressant but now been told I’ve to change to Adoport to save money. Cannot find any real info on adoport which is new product offered. I got hep c because government wanted to save money and very wary about these reasons being given for this change.

Steroids and BK virus

Six months after my 2nd kidney transplant I started rejecting and they discovered I had the BK virus so they took mr off MMF and kept me on Adoport and added Prednisolone which is now at 10mg per day and have been on this now for 18 months and have been told I will have to stay on this dose always .

Change of anti rejection meds

My transplant was 19 weeks ago and I was on adoport tacrolimus but get severe reaction to it with the tremors while in hospital. I was weaned off, flushed and switched to ciclosporin. It was always decided I would switch back to tacrolimus once lots of the other drugs were out of my body i.e.

4 months and feeling good 👍🏻

I am on ciclosporin and MMF (I was on adoport/tach) but had a very bad reaction to tach with the tremors and had to be weened off it while in hospital and switched to ciclosporin. I was wondering if anyone has experienced a bad rash whilst on the medication?

How to reduce the drugs???

My Adoport was reduced from 3.5 x 2 to 1mg X 2 - & my creatinine finally broke the 200 barrier for the first time in 16 months since the transplant - and I felt great. My consultant just had to put it up again to 1.5 x 2 & it's probably coincidence, but I don't feel as great as a few weeks ago!

Adoport side effects

Hi, I am 11 weeks post transplant and have been having my dose reduced from 8mg x 2 a day from when I left hospital to 3mg & 2mg a day now as my tacro level has still not come down to the level that is best (8 - 10) as I understand, but I am now having really hot fingers that feel like they are burning
