Any decline in kidney function after changing from prograf to adoport

Hi my husband has a kidney transplant just over 6 years ago. He had his sisters kidney. He was changed in the spring from prograf to adoport. Since then his kidney function seems to be declining. Has anyone else found this the case as well.

He was perfectly fine before

I would ask the Doctor why the change? You have a right to say what medications you want. My Doctor wanted to put me in some fungal medication and when I saw the side effects, I told him no way. I was having issues with vomiting and after six months of trying to find out what was wrong, I went to the ER and had my gallbladder removed. I feel great now!

They're basically the same drug 'tacrolimus', if his blood tacrolimus level is higher with adoport, that would cause a decline in kidney function.

high tacro level can cause increased creatinine and reduced urine output
