Good Morning. I am on tacro and mycophenalate. I get random diarrhoea which I think is diet related. I just live with it but you may find keeping a food diary might help. Good luck Sean
How long ago did you have your transplant? Make sure you tell your transplant team about the diarrhea. My dose of my meds was reduced due to my diarrhea. The diarrhea can cause dehydration which isn't good for your kidney. They also found out that it was in part due to my taking generics of my immunosuppressants. I was taking cyclosporine and Mycophenolate - and once I was switched to name brand meds - Neoral & Myfortic the diarrhea quit . The generic forms of the meds are just a little bit different in there formulation. Sometimes it's the coloring they use...
Keep working with your team to find your solution.
hi Anne, transplant was 31/2 years ago. I’ve switched from MMF to Myfortic Acod which didn’t stop stomach pains. Now on Immuran which is much kinder to my stomach but still I have these issues.
My consultant is keeping an eye on it . Generally in good health otherwise.
