Just an update for those who read my last post.

But being faced with the pandemic and my fathers alcohol

An Alternative To My Usual Treatment
The first time was for
addiction
(sorted 8 years clean/sober this month). All the other times have been for general psychiatry. Given that my post TBI condition wasn't recognised until 2017 (33 years post TBI) and it plays a major part in my mental and physical health.

Thoughts
The differences from being in active
addiction
and in recovery are, kiss ass, huge! I act all surprised despite my longest period of sobriety of over a year, and some attempts here and there. With now, being my “second” longest period. For stimulants lol. But back to the question, of who am I?

My
addiction
to this stuff has got worse over time and I literally can’t afford to keep it up anymore. I am trying to wean myself off nicotine by using patches so I’ll let you all know how I get on. Any advice from anyone who has been through the same would be really appreciated. Thanks Michelle

I need a doctor who will listen to me!
I suffered with
addiction
for a few years subsequent to this, but have fully recovered, and I haven't abused any drug in over 4 years. I'm actually, generally speaking, pretty responsible with my medications. (I've taken gabapentin, methylphenidate, and clonazepam without any issues.)

T3 Addiction or?
My “
addiction
” to T3, which I take every 8 hours & am now being tempted to take every 6 hours, as the urge is becoming unbearable because the headaches start up every 5 or 6 hours until I take either 10 micrograms or 7.5 micrograms of T3 and even then takes up to 30 minutes or longer to go away.

I need to vent!! Please, needing empathy and understanding.
Many have stated that without the restrictions and other changes, they would still be in their
addiction
. All that I am asking for is... that medical staff be more proactive check-in's and making sure that people are being healthy. Especially with their mental health/medication.

OCD is just another Addiction.
OCD is just another
Addiction
. We, humans, are wired to do two things – Seek Pleasure and Avoid Pain. Both are basically one thing. To be in the Pleasurable state of existence. In short, OCD is a self-drugging behavior to avoid pain, so the brain can release feel-good chemicals.
