It's been awhile. After being diagnoised with plantar fasciitis, they have found fluid on my ankle around the tendons. It has made walking really painful and I don't know if that has been the cause but I have had a number of falls which resulted in: broken toe, fractureed knee, broken thumb, fractured

AF and Levothyroxine.....anyone?
Yesterday I saw my gp as for months now I've had the most awful cough, breathlessness and chest pain, in fact I sometimes worry that I ignore the chest pain too much and wouldn't acknowledge if it were serious! My 'flutters' with the AF are constant lately too. Anyway, my gp has said that maybe the

Query relating to Alendronic Acid
HI all, I took Alendronic Acid for 2 years after prolonged courses of prednisolone in 2016, only finding out more about it after starting the treatment. Last year I had increasing gastric upset and did not want to add proton pump inhibitors to my list of meds and I also had dental problems (resolved

A postcard from Italy. How to increase D3 naturally.
Finally summer has arrived, 25 degrees. I really like the sea (as you can see). From Asia, to Oceania to America, passing through Europe and Great Britain, the sun on HU and its members never sets. Excellent for vitamin D3. Take care to yourself but don't forget to live a beautiful and interesting

Vitamin D3
I've been taking vitamin D3 for 6 days and haven't had knee pain. And I've been exercising too. Maybe, it's a fluke.

High white blood cell count
My GP sent me for blood tests, yet again, last week. He rang me 2 days later to ask if I felt ok as my white blood cell count was through the roof and I am now showing signs of anaemia. Got a bit concerned as he kept asking repeatedly "did I feel ok?" Anyway, had more bloods done yesterday, chest x ray

Hormonal Vitamin D & PCa Aggressiveness.
New study below [1]. Hormonal vitamin D is calcitriol, 1,25-D, 1, 25-dihydroxy vitamin D3 [1,25(OH)2 D]. The inactive reservoir form is calcidiol, 25-D, 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 [25(OH)D]. Circulating calcitriol varies throughout the day in response to blood calcium levels. One would need to take multiple

Blood Tests - 6 weeks after taking Levo (50mcg) and Calciferol
Severe leg/bone/joint pains and stiffness started late last year 2018. Blood tests in January diagnosed severe deficiency in vit D and hypothyroid/hash oti (antibodies attacking thyroid). Took a 6 week dose of vit D and levels are satisfactory. First blood tests after 6 weeks of taking Levothyroxine

Elevated LFTs
Tomorrow is my last day of IMRT, with high-dose Brachytherapy scheduled to follow starting next week. But on pre-op labs my LFTs hav risen dramatically over the past 3 months, up 4-7x from normal baseline. I did not have visceral mets on any of several staging scan types. I am asymptomatic as far as

Supplement advice anyone?
Hi Everyone Just want to say how helpful and reassuring I find this website. So many are willing to share personal stories and go to a lot of effort to help and give advice. Thank you. I’m beginning to feel that I’m getting addicted and even slightly obsessive and realise that I need to stop focusing
