For all those reluctant to have this procedure I would say , go for it !

I had 2 yrs of heart attacks , 5 angios until the last one when the surgeon suggested a bypass would give me a better life than going in and out of hospital getting stents in and them failing .

I had my op 11 months ago and would never have thought last year that I would be so fully recovered . Currently I am in Las Vegas and was at a Biffy Clyro gig last night ! 😀

So glad for you. Odd thing is since my bypass a lot of things have disappeared like rheumatism in some joints and only the occasional migraine 😸

Hi there,I had my CABG 32 years ago when I was in imminent danger of a HA, (95% blockage of the Aorta), and since then I’ve had another daughter and my life has been terrific. I regularly bless Mr Sweeney, my surgeon, and the life I’ve had since. 😊

At the age of 83 in 2019 I had open heart surgery at Harefield Hospital, replacement aortic valve and single CABG using the mammary artery. Great success, no problems heart wise since, on Apixaban bd and Bisoprolol 1.25 mg at night. Off to Menorca with son and daughter for a week, mid June.Life may be in the slow lane because of osteoarthritis, but the engine is working well, so who cares, I’m just grateful!
