PET Scan results -total ischemic burden 4%
I just got the results of my PET Scan and it was "total ischemic burden 4%". My cardiologist said "we start to worry when it is 10%. It must be a false positive. If that was a true result you would be feeling like there was an elephant on your chest." He didn't go into any further explanations. So I

bisoprolol
hi Matt. I’ve been on bisoprolol since my stent in October 2019x cardiologist cut the dose down to 1.25?as I felt so ghastly. But I react badly to all drugs! I had horrendous nightmares. So perhaps a lower dose? x

Longest bout of RLS 13 days of no sleep
I’m exhausted! I twitch and full body movements every night until 3AM then wake up at 6. On top of the RLS, I have now developed an upper respiratory infection. I was prescribed cough syrup with phenegran and it made me have the worst ever attack. I have called the doctor and he gave me gabapentin and

Ahhaaaa! Ladies and Gents- Leg pain when walking? Result!!

A tooth with a life of it's own!
Hi, all. I wrote in several months ago about a painful tooth. My dentist couldn't find anything wrong with it. He finally referred me to an endodontist, and he did a root canal. Found several issues. Would have been nice if that had been the end of it, but no! The pain would not go away, and I

Flaxseed
Hi there, Been listening to Michael Mosley podcast and benefits of flaxseed. I am taking 90mg ticegrelor, 1.25mg bisoprolol and Aspirin 75mg. Had NStemi 6 months ago and stent fitted. My BP is quite low but considered good. Apparently on a big trial flaxseed didnt reduce BP in those that had low BP

stent
Hello. My husband had a stent placed into his bile duct to widen it last April (2023) he had it removed in August (23) and a balloon used to widen further strictures (narrowings). All seemed ok. He struggles daily due to his PSC which has caused cirrhosis on the left side of his liver plus portal hypertension

3 years ago I add a heart attack while driving. I was rushed to Leeds hospital, where I add 2 cardiac arrests, luckily they revived me then they fitted a stent. After my recovery cardiac rehabilitation suggested I do some kind of fitness, so I started going to spin classes. It seemed to be doing me good

Therapulse - Do I really need to scale up slowly the way the maker says to?
I've had RLS for decades & currently take Horizant, methadone, and a small amount of Mirapex (I ran into trouble when I tried to drop the Mirapex completely so my specialist suggested leaving a small amount in for now). To help further lower my med doses, or to help with handling flareups without increasing

Rising T Bili on Xeloda
Hi ladies!! my mom has been on xeloda and her T bili continues to go up last few weeks. Her last scans showed shrinking lesions on liver. Her Tumor Markers went up 28 points this month. Her scan is bumped up to next week . She s checking for blockage that would require a stent in the liver I guess

Update for my hubby. Well he had his second stage 2 stent angioplasty today, 8 weeks after his HA and first 2 stents. He still has severe left ventricular dysfunction but is feeling more positive at last. He’s even got dates for cardiac rehabilitation too. After a rough couple of months, both emotionally

Cataract Op and blood thinners
I have severe arrhythmia and have been taking warfarin for 5 years also clopidogrel since December, when I had a stent fitted. I am due to have a cataract removed in May and wonder if it will be necessary to adjust my medication ?
