Hello. My husband had a stent placed into his bile duct to widen it last April (2023) he had it removed in August (23) and a balloon used to widen further strictures (narrowings). All seemed ok. He struggles daily due to his PSC which has caused cirrhosis on the left side of his liver plus portal hypertension and now ulcerative colitis. My question if any one knows is can the stricture become narrow again? Many thanks kelly

Hi I’m not sure that anyone can answer that because everyone is different, what I can tell you is that I had my stent replaced twice until the duct reacted properly and had no problems since, if I was you I would have a good talk to your liver team and ask them. Good luck hope things go well 💕💕.

but the risk of me bleeding unstoppable is so high because of varicies that’s what happened last time & I died twice It was horrific I’m still affected by it mentally
I would like to think that the doctors have tied your varices to make you safe. Do you have the same procedure to go through??. Because if you have then you have to have it because if the bile duct closes you are in real trouble. Good luck with everything 💕💕
