Synacthen Test Results
Hi everyone, just looking for some clarification on a Synacthen test I've had. Bit of background, 36M, pretty healthy in terms of diet, exercise, sleep etc. No medications. I've been suffering for a few months with fatigue, heart palpitations. Seems to get a lot worse after exercise. Checked cortisol

ACTH Levels
Hello, All! Does any of our group have high/low/regular levels? If so, what are you taking or not taking and, most importantly, how do you feel, energy level etc? Last one I had was at 151-don't take anything, good energy..

goserelin and ACTH
I am wondering how and if GnRH medications like Zoladex impact the ACTH production and if the activity of the adrenal production of adrenal androgens feeds the prostate cancer cells independently of the LH / testosterone route. Also as cortisol is increased with various other physical and psychological

Thyroid and cortisol results
Hi all, just got results back from latest NHS bloods. Any thoughts? This was primarily to try and 'verify' my private blood test results showing above-range TSH (6.1) and high antibodies. Test was done just before 9am, fasting, currently not on any meds, no biotin week before. I also asked for serum

Adrenal Insufficiency treatment?
Hello, I wrote a post last week when I got a major GCA headache and felt incredibly weak and was having difficulty talking, finding words. I increased my prednisone from 9mg to 15mg three days ago but still feel very weak, fatigued, and major brain fog. Someone on here used the term "walking with someone

Adrenals are working!
I had a ACTH Stimulation Test this morning and just got the results back from my Endo. She said even better than she expected. So now I can start tapering off of hydrocortisone at 1/2 tablet weekly. Currently I am on two 5mg tablets in morning and Two 5mg tablets in evening. It seems a bit fast but

ACTH Cortisol test enquiry
Afternoon all I had an ACTH test done at the request of my GP because my early morning blood cortisol test was 133 (ref 113 - 532). I am attaching 2 pages of results. The consultant says I'm fine but I want to run it past folk on here because I'm not so sure. I certainly don't feel fine. I don't understand

Adrenal and related Test Results help please
I had the full bells and whistles blood screen by an NHS endo last year. I was sent a letter telling me I’m ‘healthy’ but I sure don’t feel that way. Some of the test results are below and I’d welcome any feedback. I’m 60 years old and post menopausal, I was medication free when the tests were done.

#2 Update: Adrenal Testing
This afternoon (12.45) I had the blood draw for: Adrenal auto-antibodies, Aldosterone, Renin, Potassium & Sodium. I've also had a short Synacthen test. Stop The Thyroid Madness (For better, for worse) insist that salt is restricted the day before Aldosterone testing and that the arm is held at a perpendicular

ACTH blood test
My GP has sent me for an ACTH blood test. Is this the correct test or should he have asked for ACTH Stimulation test? Will the ACTH test be sufficient? I am almost at 3.5mg Pred. To be fair, I asked if I needed an ACTH test - I didn't realise there were two. But surely he knows what is needed?

Substitute Eplerenone for Prednisone with Zytiga?
I am taking Eligard + Zytiga + Prednisone (5mg). I would like to stop the prednisone and substitute eplerenone (Inspra), if that is viable. I found this exchange from earlier this year from Gearhead, with comments from Tango65 and T_A, among others. Has anyone stopped prednisone altogether in
