Advice please
I've been getting this weird sensation in my neck, along with the feeling of a lump in my throat it feels like the right side of my neck is swollen but it isn't when I look at it, I can also see what looks like a pulse bumping about an inch below the right ear. Should I see a doctor asap about this or

Prednisone versus Nutri adrenal extra
Hi, I have been taking Prednisone - a low dose of 2.5mg x a day. (AM and Lunch Time). This dose was suggested due to my Cortisol and ACTH being Low - Cortisol was 112 and ACTH was 12. However, I cannot tolorate Prednisone - it has horrendous side effects. I am waiting to see Dr P, but in the meantime

Cortisol and ACDH
Hi, I am desperate for some advise and support. First I had my cortisol and ACTH done via "blue horizon" in the summer 2014. I had a really bad journey to get to the hospital - eventually I had the test(s) completed at 10.30 AM (I was fasting from the previous evening). The results from this test

got saliva results ( cortisol )
The results are what I thought, guess I'm here as part of my pity party for myself. They looked practically flat-line. My 8am was 5, normal is 13-24. At 8am should be the highest for the day. You're doing well if you're near the top, at 24. For the day, my "cortisol load" was 14, normal is 22 to 46.

New endo appointment and new blood results - help appreciated :)
Quick back story is that I've been hypo since age 21 (now 38) have TPO antibodies so I'm assuming hashi's. Saw an endo for the first time in April who agreed to me trialing 10mcg of T3 with my 125mcg of levo which has made no difference. That endo wouldn't prescribe a higher dose of T3 as I had surpressed

Irritable, Angry, Tired, Frustrated
Hi everyone, Really need some support/advice from people about what to do. I got diagnosed with an underactive thyroid last December which I feel hadn't been picked up for ages due to my TSH being low end of normal (1.2) with free T3 of 2.1 (3-7) and free T4 of 10.4 (12-20). Started on 50mcg daily and

adrenal insufficiency/fatigue testing
Hello everyone. My son seems to have symptoms of adrenal fatigue. We are about to send a saliva test off to Genova, but I saw a post by someone about a year ago saying that a GP could do a blood test for ACTH, aldosterone and cortisol and renin. Would this give an indication of adrenal insufficiency?

Levels of ACTH in the Morning
I had an acth blood test done recently, (8 am fasting). The results are back but I'm not seeing my doctor until Monday. Is it a normal acth blood level for the morning? (7.20 - 63.30 pg / mL ) 25.90 pg / mL If anyone can answer it would be greatly appreciated.

Adrenal Stress Profile results and thyroid med problems
I have been on Levo for 10 years. In May I had an A&E trip with horrible heart poundings in the early hours, shaking, nausea etc. ECG all clear. The GP and I think I had become 'overmediacted' on Levo which I believe had not been suiting me for 3 years or so. I am currently referred to an endo who has

ACTH stimulation test - Short Synacthen Test
Hello lovely people. Do you recommend the short synacthen test? Is it going to tell me anything useful. I'm not keen on any side-effects. I know I would have to come off my nutri adrenals before hand. Many thanks. Anna.

6 years ago I came down with a mystery illness. So far no doctors had been able to give me a diagnosis, could it be thyroid? More details..
I was just wondering whether if I posted a fairly detailed history of my case, symptoms and test results would you be able to offer any ideas about whether it might be thyroid or thyroid related? Or just any ideas at all really? (I was recommended to put this on here from someone within a Lupus group
