Endocrinology appt
Had my first endocrinologist appointment Thursday. After 17 vials of blood I have to wait until April 2nd for any result. They did the ACTH injection to see if my adrenals are functioning.

After posting my two failed acth test, and gtn loads of advice on this forum. I decided to seek a private endo, the BEST in my area. (Name removed as per Admin Guidelines) his reputation on adrenals and thyriod are exceptional. I’m 18 months out of a job due to sickness, due to my nhs doctors not following

Newly diagnosed I have many questions.
Hello I am new to this forum. I have recently had a liver biopsy and have received the pathology report saying I have chronic hepatitis with features of primary billary cholangitis stage 2. The fatigue is bad, my legs from the knees down always hurt. I know my vitamin D is low so taking that supplement

Steroid pump for secondary adrenal insufficiency with traumatic brain injury
Hi. I’m new on this site but I wanted to share my AI stories, answer some questions and hopefully find some more resources to help us with this challenging condition. I’m reading that a lot of people on this site seem to be taking their steroids orally. I too was started on oral medication, dexamethasone

What is the correct dosage of hydrocortisone after failing an acth test?
Im just back from my endo apt.. it wasn’t the doctor I originally saw or spoke to on the phone who prescribed me with 10mg HC. The doc I saw today and also an additional doctor came in to the apt as They both stated they did not think I needed HC as my second test I just missed it by 7nmol. They said

A.M. Cortisol
Does anyone else have high cortisol levels? I get tested for A.M. cortisol twice a year and it's always above normal. Also my ACTH is very high. I think there maybe a correlation there. Also I was born with only 1 kidney (I found out about 10 years ago) I went to a kidney doctor and he said I only have

Pituitary tumour update.
Hi all, I'm still here! I had the surgery to remove the large tumour on my pituitary. I am now 16 days post op and according to my surgeon, doing very well. The tumour was benign as 99% of them are. I have ACTH short test on Tues to see if my adrenals show any signs of working. Also more bloods to see

My ACTH Stimulation test is to have 3 blood draws
After waiting for several months I was finally able to see a specialist (where I live a GP cannot order this test). I’m wondering if any of you have had this test that will have 3 blood draws? At first she said they only do this test if you are off prednisone. I wasn’t shocked to hear this as someone
