Endocrinologist Recommendation
Hi there, I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid a few years ago. A scan and antibody test confirmed it is hashimoto’s. My Levo has been gradually increased each year and I’m now on 100mcg. Up until recently I’ve felt okay but lately I’ve been feeling really tried and well a bit strange. I had

Problems switching from Levo to Erfa
hello good people. I’ve now been transitioning to Erfa from levothyroxine for just over four weeks. I’ve felt really awful - headaches, weakness, nausea, feeling faint and or dizzy, incredibly exhausted. I am taking one and a half grains. Erfa is 30mg. I was taking 75/100mg Levo on alternating days

Is it right that if you are under medicated for Hashimoto it can lead to getting nodules, pre-type 2 diabetes?
It seems I am feeling good on my 50mcg of Levothyroxine for many years. However, if I calculate the dose per my weight I have to be on 100mcg. There are some things that also bother me like my elevated cholesterol and HbA1c plus it seems I got some nodules during past years. I am slim and energetic

where to go from here
I started t3 a month ago first 2 weeks 2.5 mornings only which I definitely believe gave me more stamina and energy and then after 2 weeks added in a second afternoon 2.5, - im not sure if this made much difference, perhaps as first was going from nothing to something and this was just a small increase

I don't fit any profile!
I have remained undiagnosed for nearly a decade. Symptoms precede that, for maybe another ten years. I think I must be an outlier... A thyroid ultrasound scan was performed last week and indicated a very damaged gland. The radiologist saying he would write to my GP and recommend prescribing levothyroxine

Levothyroxine and propranolol
Hi, I'm taking Levothyroxine 75mcg and have been prescribed Propranolol for heart palpitations. I'm a bit worried about taking it though in case it affects the levothyroxine. Does anyone here take both of these together? Thanks in advance.

Looking for advice, yet again, please.
I had an appointment to see my GP today regarding high blood pressure. I have been taking 10mg Ramipril for some time but recently BP has been high and erratic. Apparently, I cannot go to a higher Ramipril dose, therefore, need to change. I’m aware that some BP medication can interfere with RLS, so

Will lowering T3 dose raise TSH?
I have been treated for hypothyroidism for the last 51 years, since the birth of my first child. For 12 years, T3 only, for 18 years T4 only, and for 19 years T3 only (since menopause). When I got a diagnosis for osteoporosis, I asked to have a T4 supplement for a T4/T3 ratio that would slow the parathyroids

Odd thyroid test results
I also belong to the PMRAuk group as I was diagnosed with PMR mid 2020. I also have hypothyroidism dating back to mid 1980s. I recently took one more step down to 3mg Prednisone after being on it for over 3 years and a very long tapering process with a couple of flares to slow things down. But my question

Hello, admin asked me to introduce myself...
Hello all. I am diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism since around 2010. (Although, at that time the diagnosis was hypothyroidism, no mention of antibodies.) Back then, I didn't even have any symptoms in the first place (that I was aware of,) and was prescribed levothyroxine. I would say that to

Can a Levo dose be split Am and Pm, and can NDT be taken Am and a Levo dose added PM?
Hi Everyone, Still struggling with dose and timings 8 years into medication. I wasnt sure if anyone here has had success adding some Levo into their NDT regime in the afternoon, or whether its best to take Levo first thing in the morning (or bedtime if that the routine ) and or add a 2nd dose of Levo

As the weather gets colder so do I which might seem normal but it’s dropping as low as 33.5* when air temperature is 19 degrees C. Thought of winter approaching is worrying as had this problem
