Freaked out a bit - alone with T3 only
Hi, I've posted earlier about my endo wanting to add 12.5 mcg of levo to my current 62.5 mcg of Tiromel and me crashing on that. I don't know if I should have pursued that thread to post but if so, I'm sorry and please feel free to tell me so. So because my endo couldn't be contacted I saw my GP (who

Affect of exercise on Thyroid levels
Hi everyone. I, realised back in March that my long suffering with nerve pain had got considerably better. I don't know why it suddenly reduced. I'm just really pleased that it did! I decided to get my health and weight under control as I am now able to exercise. I started doing three or four walks

Just starting on levo at 50.....can you advise me please?
Good morning, further to my previous "excited" post at being medicated! Can you please advise me as to whether I should start off at 25 for 4-6 weeks (see how I go) before taking the 50? I've never taken this before & having read all the posts here it is very clear that "small & slow" is the way forward

Magnesium…
Have been feeling achey and elbow pains started up again, decided to try the magnesium tablets I bought a while ago (just cheap and cheerful ones from the supermarket), went with half a tablet to see how it would affect me and O.M.G!! I slept like a log! Usually I toss and turn with various aches and

Lansoprazole
Anyone taking Lansoprazole as well as Levothyroxine? If so how do you take it? I always take Levo first thing on empty stomach but apparently that’s how you should take Lansoprazole. I have been told I need to take it as I am on daily aspirin and now chemo tablet daily. Anyone else could advise please

Endo appointment and low TSH
Hi all, Please see my results below. My GP is making noise about my suppressed TSH but she's leaving it to my endo, who I have an appointment with on 18th June. They don't know that I take liothyronine as well as levo. I'm not sure whether to fess up or not just as a way to explain the suppressed TSH

Recent blood test – Why do I feel so tired?
Hello, Please could you have a look at my recent blood test results and tell me what could be the cause of my constant tiredness? I find it hard to get out of bed in the morning and often wake up with brain fog. I often wake up during the night to pee. I often feel the need to fall asleep in the afternoon

Introduced T3, feeling exhausted & gaining weight
Hello there, I've been introducing T3 slowly since Feb 24 - started 5mcg for 6 weeks then up to 7.5mcg and now 10 mcg per day. Also taking levo - started at 137.5mcg, then when I introduced T3 (and T4 went down), endo increased levo to 150, and then 6 weeks later T4 still too low, increased levo to

Following on with update from last few posts...
GP happy with levels, tried to explain info I've gleaned from advice here about 'range' but she was baffled. I've had a full blood count- all looks OK there. Gp spoke to endocrinology who were also happy with levels but suggested I tried low dose,25g, Levo and get tested in 6 weeks. I'm thinking that

New GP who understands thyroid!!
Private endocrinologist discharged me back to my surgery as he "could not" treat me with my TSH being back in range, positive TPO in the 300's & ultrasound showing small thyroid (ords) still highly symptomatic, saw another GP at the practice really to ask for a 2nd opinion. New GP listed my symptoms

Levothyroxine and food allergies. Is there any link?
Hi everyone, I was having a moment, thinking, or maybe overthinking, and it is a common discussion point about Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism and sensitivities to wheat and dairy, and advice to cease consuming these to promote wellness.Whilst I understand that anyone can develop an allergy at any age, it

I have hypothyroidism caused by thyroiditis (probably the postpartum kind) I’ve started my pills today. The symptom bothering me most is muscle/joint pain. Did anyone see a quick improvement in this after taking the drug? Does anyone have any experience with water retention improving? I have

In shock, TSH from 20.3 to 0.103!
hello, I posted a while ago as I was getting so concerned at the rate my TSH was increasing, I had increased my levothyroxine gradually to 175mg with no improvement, the last bloods and drs appointment I had I was given instructions to increase to 200mg which I believe is the limit for my weight. by

told to take 10mcg and 5mcg Liothyronine on alternate days but it isn't recommended!
I was seen at the Endocrine Clinic recently. The endocrinologist had requested bloods were taken the previous day by my GP, but I had taken all my thyroid medication (75 Levo and 10mcg Liothyronine ) at about 8am before the GP took my bloods but I did not realise at the time I should have withheld

New to Levo, question about TSH aim
I've been taking Levo 50mg per day for 3 months, and just had the first blood test result back. My TSH is at 2.85, and they are saying that I should stay on this dose and get tested again in a year. The last test before I started medication (January) my TSH was 8.6, T4 12.8. Both were done first thing

HelloI have asked for advice previously in relation to my mum. She has been taking levo 25 for a while now. We have managed to get a new test completed and her TSH has increased quite a lot. FT3/4 at the lower end of range. She is also deficient in B12. We have been waiting a while for these so as

Urgent help with results please
I posted last week about feeling terrible on T3. Exhausted and aching all over. I’ve just had my second lot of results back. The top pic are the most recent ones and the one before that were the results when I’d started on a lower dose of T3. I’ve now dropped my levo from 175 to 150 and taking 10mcg
