NAC for RLS?
Has anyone tried NAC N-
acetylcysteine
? Did it help? I accidentally found this, my first thought was how could they miss this? "Glutamate can be reduced in the brains of persons with high glutamate levels within an hour of oral ingestion of N-
acetylcysteine
" I am taking it at the wrong time!

Curcumin New Promising MPN Study
However NAC and Curc operate differently, so you will be doing something different between these supps: https://nutritionandmetabolism.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1743-7075-2-20 << Both curcumin, a component of the spice turmeric, and N-

Preventive treatments to slow substantia nigra damage and Parkinson's disease progression: A critical perspective review
Many papers suggest that targeting antioxidative systems is a crucial aspect of preventive and protective therapies, even justifying the utilization of N-
acetylcysteine
(NAC) supplementation to fortify the protection afforded by intracellular glutathione.

Can the combo of ACETYLCYSTEINE-150MG + TAURINE-500MG help to sleep? Any experiences?
I was looking for taurine for sleep at local chemist shop but right now it's available only in combination with
acetylcysteine
. Is that ok to try for sleep without aggravating RLS?

Glycine and N-acetylcysteine (GlyNAC) supplementation?
OAs were provided capsules of glycine (1.33 mmol/kg/day) and cysteine (0.81 mmol/kg/day, provided as N-
acetylcysteine
[NAC]) . That second link is to a very positive study. Glutathione and Parkinson's disease: is this the elephant in the room?

4 amazing videos that change the way we look at Parkinson's.
Monti in 2019 has obtained similar results with the administration of NAC (N-
acetylcysteine
) orally and parenterally. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxno30sQkyU 3) COIMBRA - RIBOFLAVIN (VITAMIN B2).

Can we prevent, slow or halt, improve symptoms and reduce the severity of Parkinson's?
that is, the evolution of the disease: - vitamina B1 to improve all aspects, between 31.3 and 77.3 % in motor part of the UPDRS (Costantini 2013, 2015); - vitamin B2 to improve mobility, 30 mg every 8 h, 44-71 % (Coimbra 2003); - intense physical exercise, 35 % improvement (Alberts 2009); - N-
acetylcysteine

Vitamin C in the world of Parkinson´s
Studies with NAC (N-
acetylcysteine
) have shown that it multiplies by almost three - 3.4% to 8.3% - the dopamine transporters (DAT), which makes the scarce dopamine produced by the brain of patients in advanced stages is better used and more effective (Monti 2019).

Oxidative Remote Induction of Type 3 Deiodinase Impacts Nonthyroidal Illness Syndrome
Be careful - just because this paper reports positive effects of N-
acetylcysteine
in specific circumstances in rats does
NOT
imply that we can or should take N-
acetylcysteine
. Nonetheless, some greater understanding on Nonthyroidal Illness Syndrome is desperately needed.
