Replied to a question about bone protective medications on another forum today, and thought it might be of interest to some here at FPC. So pasting it here. Full disclosure: I have been taking denosumab (Prolia or Xgeva) for over 5 years and currently have normal bone density. I also take Calcium supplement

hi, I’ve got myself bogged down in an effort to take supplements to help with bone loss. I was diagnosed with osteopenia following a DEXA scan. I don’t want to take Alendronic acid and my GP agreed with me taking vitamin D3 + K2 mk7 and magnesium glycinate and to have a further DEXA scan in three years

Prednisone + Zytiga + Lupron -- Loss of Height?
After a month of VMAT radiation I started on Prednisone 5 mg, Zytiga 1000 mg, and Lupron about 2 months ago. My height at the end of radiation was 73". At my first checkup a month from that my height was down to about 70.5". After a lot of reading and thinking about 2 weeks ago I added Vitamin K2

Testing my thyroid after stopping levothyroxine
Hi I was put on levothyroxine back in March when my test results were considered borderline. I had to have surgery in April to remove a cyst on my pituitary gland which thankfully seems to have been successful (though I have what is considered to be mild diabetes insipidus which preceded the surgery
