Does this at all sound like endometriosis?
Short background: My periods in my 20s and early 30s were VERY painful. Lots of bad cramping, and I would have to walk around for hours sometimes as that was the only thing I could stand doing. Not sure my bleeding was extremely heavy - it was probably fairly moderate. Not light, but not superheavy.

MEDIA REQUEST- how far do women go to deal with their endo/bleeding
Hi all, Thanks so much for your great responses regarding my feature discussing how periods/endo/fibroids affect women. I was wondering if you could all tell me the lengths you've gone to in dealing with your heavy periods/painful periods and endo. Eg taking lots of nurofen, paracetemol, ibuprofen,

Excruciatingly intolerable painful periods post-delivery. Any help would be appreciated!?
Hi, I gave birth 7 months back and my first period after delivery was normal. But starting from second month the period pains are a 100 times worse than labor pains, excruciatingly painful so much so that I end up going to the hospital emergency room every month for the last 6 months. Went to hospital

Mirena - stopping bleeding?!
Hi – I need some advice please ladies … I had the Mirena fitted at the beginning of Feb and have bled lots of days between now and then and although it is a pain, I know it needs time to settle. I had a very bad ‘period’ last month for March and then bled for 7 days of April so I presumed this was still

Endometriosis & Adenomyosis... Endo Removed but still struggling!
Hi hoping some of you lovely people could advise me on what to do next! My gynocaecolgist doesn't really fill me with confidence! I had months of very heavy periods, chronic pain & mood swings. I tried a variety of pills including tranexamic acid & mefanimic acid with no relief so decided on the depot

Irregular periods
Hi all, I am currently taking the contraceptive pill for my heavy and painful bleeding. I have a 7 day break on this pill, but lately I seem to be having a breakthrough. I have irregular periods anyway but this is getting ridiculous, im having 2 periods a month :( Does anyone else have the same?

Confusing lab results?
I've been suspecting hypothyroidism for a while now, as I seem to have symptoms relating to it, such as difficulty in losing weight, unexplained high cholesterol,
absent
periods
, difficulty concentrating and remembering things, dry hands and flaking nails.

Normal Periods
Hi, I'm just wondering if it's normal to have no periods for 4 months with suspected Endo? I Had more problems after having my son, periods seemed to stop altogether, I was breastfeeding so thought nothing of it, they came back with a vengeance! Now I don't know when I'm going to have one and I've not

Pain after period
For the last few months I've got off pretty much scott free in terms of period pain, but this month I've been absolutely knocked sideways by pain after my period. This morning I could barely get out of bed. The only way to describe it is a feeling like I'm carrying rocks in my lower abdomen. I've always

Irregular period cycle
Hi ya, for the past 9 months my period cycles have been vary in each month. The shortest is 24 days while the longest is 44 days. Each month differences would be between 3 to 15 days. Normally, my period cycle 28-30 days. Irregular cycle makes me hard to concieve as it hard for me to identify the day

Pelvic & womb pain that stops period and gives severe pain?
I am 39 years old and have been suffering from severe pelvic pain. I have had an ultra sound and although it has shown nothing I have been told my symptoms are likely to be endometriosis. I am interested to know if anyone else is experiencing what I am because when I research I can only find symptoms

Fertility Issues?
I have been having unprotected sex for around 4 years. It hasn't really crossed my mind before as I've not been ready, but has recently starting to play on my mind as my partner and I have been talking about children the past few weeks. I started my period when I was 11, for the first couple of years

Endometriosis and PCOS
Hi All I have had a long and complicated history! I was diagnosed with PCOS at 13 and put on the combined pill. At 18 I started to get sever migraines and was removed from the pill. What followed was a series of years in which I was given every type of contraceptive possible, progesterone only, to try

Does zinc make periods last longer?
My bacon and egg toastie got stone cold while I typed out a post, and it didn't post and vanished!!! My periods are always regular and fairly moderate. In my early twenties they went from lasting 7 days to 3 days which pleased me no end and have been the same since. I had a shoulder op in September

Progression of endo - How fast can symptoms worsen?
Hi everyone, So I've been to a specialist gyne that has a good knowledge of endometriosis, and she seems pretty convinced that I have it. I've had a few milder symptoms for well over a year - irregular and heavy periods (every 5 days at one point), painful bowel movements, constipation, nausea/vomiting
