I am sorry you have had your thyroid gland put out of action.
Those who've had similar op to you will also respond. I am not medically qualified but the very least you should be offered is a T4/T3 combination as you have no thyroid gland function at all now.
Personally I think anyone who doesn't have a thyroid gland should be prescribed NDT - but if you are in the UK this has now been withdrawn from being prescribed. Many recover with NDT as it has all of the hormones a healthy gland would have.
Many people do well on a combination therapy.
I along with many others who don't have a thyroid do very well on Levothyroxine.

What a Blessing .You must be from the very Lucky ones that can convert T4 to T3 . I did well for a short time on T4 Only after my TT . Till I started having palpitations anxiety panic attacks sweating insomnia and more . Lowering my T4 and adding low dose NDT for my T3 mix made a world of a difference .
