Low iodine,high flurodie levels
I am on thyroxine and have trouble losing weidht so iwent to see a prvate nutrionist recently and had a 24 hour Halides Urine test. This shows that I have very low iodine levels and high fluoride levels and so could explain the difficulty of losing weight. I wanted to check it out with my gp but he

Supplement Advice
Hi All, I have monthly comprehensive blood tests due to taking a biological medication. Kidney function could improve and thyroid is at 3.9 (GP will not prescribe) My vit D level is also low. I have joint pain, no/infrequent periods and brittle nails. I have trouble sleeping and anxiety. What supplements

DHEA & CORTISOL to improve T4 to T3 Conversion
Hi All, I have been, like everyone, trying to get a grasp on my hashis/hypoT. I've been reading here, and other sources, much about sex hormones, DHEA, Adrenals, Cortisol but admittedly not as much as I've been reading Thyroid specific studies/articles. Luckily, I had one doc, who I no longer see, order

Please help with a weird thyroid situation.
Hi! I just got test results (attached) and i don't know what to do next... I don't have autoimmune thing, but my TSH was up to 15 earlier this year. Levo made me feel worse so I stopped and started eating lots or seaweed and taking a iodine supplement (some russian thing, i dunno what it is exactly)

Antibodies 77 and TSH 8? Ashwaghanda and Iodine started this.
Hi everyone, I have Hashimoto's and TSH went from 3 to 7 after taking too much ashwaghanda and antibodies are 77. I was given levothyroxine but I'm on the thin side so I wanted to wait and try to see if my thyroid would normalize since I started the issue with overdoing the thyroid and adrenal supplements

I became unwell at the end of last year- muscle/joint pains, crushing exhaustion, sore eyes, hair falling out etc. Plus constant fight not to lose more weight (current bmi 17). Thyroid nodules had been noted a couple of years previously, so when tests showed my tsh to be low and declining, my excellent

Extreme Diets.
I define an extreme diet as one that flirts with deficiency of one or more essential nutrients. Sure, one can always take a pill to counter deficiency, but that would detract from the idea of an ideal diet meeting all of the needs of the body. Is there a place for an extreme diet when cancer is present
