Happy February EVERONE and welcome!

White rabbits everywhere, in the changing room today! Slip of your shoes, if you are able, and sit down...

A brand new month... and a brand new month, also, for staying fit and staying healthy... mind and body!

Not much to think about there then!!!!

Well, I am not sure how the rest of you are going on, but I have been relying on my strength and stamina work to keep me going over these last months. The weather has kept me indoors from my running, but walking and indoor work has been the name of the game.

Yoga with Adriene, and the January challenge completed... and also RED January.... Rise every day and so I did... ! Thanks you to CBDB for those links... February here I come! INHALE... YWA!

I know I rely very much, on my supplementary exercise and I am wondering how everyone else has been coping.

Have you found the weather has handicapped your efforts to exercise at all? Have you found ways of staying fit and stay moving?

If so, what have you been doing?

Here we are, February 1st and I am busy thinking too, of some of the past posts and replies... and the ones where folk were talking about having a crib sheet if you like, to refer to, for basic exercises.

So over the next weeks, I am going to be focussing on searching around, to find the kind of thing we might use. Things which you can print off... and use. Make a file of your own maybe!

Today then, a reference sheet... with illustrations ! Just as a sample... a set of simple basic exercises that most of will be able to carry out each morning, or at some point in the day,. This found on an Australian University blog!

We do learn faster by 'doing'... so hopefully after a few days of this one, ( and it does not mean this is your only form of supportive exercise), you will get to remember it.

BUT...

I want to hear from YOU.

Which body parts or which exercises would you like to see the focus on?

Legs, feet, back, hips, upper body strength, stamina...?

Please, let me know your thoughts...

I am hoping that BarbieW will pop in, and the folk who replied to this post too. I will give them a shout out, if not:)

Looking forward to seeing some of you here and looking forward to your suggestions too!

P.S.

The tartan background is my husband's Clan tartan, Clan Keith. But he is supporting England in the Six Nations! Hmmm !

Nice. I love a good visual! (I tend to dislike jumping jacks though, and gravitate heavily (teehee) towards low impact)

I am working on a plantar fasciitis prevention challenge that focusses on mid-foot strengthening, so hope that will be if interest as there have been several posts recently and I have some minor issues with PF niggles due to standing and walking a lot. Will drop mid month, perhaps.

Tartan! We had a European Burns dinner (haggis raclette 🤣) and during these weeks I row in tartan leggings!

Now I must print out your visual and get ticking off those exercises!

Hello and here we are with some ups and doons!

I love those leggings, I was very tempted with buying some for Burn's Night ,and of course to wear in St Andrew's day! Mr OF paternal side are from Scotland! We always carry out a Burn's Night and MR OF does the Toast to the Ladies and I do the toast to the Laddies reply :)

You sound like me with some exercises... I tweak... if something is uncomfortable or impossible for me ( Like downward dog in yoga, ), I tweak!

You're right, there have been a fair few posts on the foot niggles.. hopefully this will be of interest to those folks.!

I am hoping to get out for a test tun this morning and then I shall be finding time to try out those exercises too!

Hi

Just popped in to say…

Love it!

(Now I just need to find out how to extract that picture, crop it to remove the awful tartan (My mum was a Scot…!) and then print the thing to post up on my bedroom wall.).

Personally I am struggling with my knees, so some knee strengtheners will be more than welcome. But anything as long as we get a picture will be great. Thanks so much
