Revisiting the Five Tibetan Rites! Who’s up for this?

Who is up for a quick 7 day challenge: the Five Tibetan Rites?

We did this challenge about a year ago, and I always wanted to return to it as a challenge. I’ve incorporated one or two of the movements into my stretching practice but it’s worthwhile doing the whole sequence, I think.

It will be quick yoga-like, 5-pose challenge where we can increase repetitions every day until on the 5th day, at which point we will do each pose/ movement 7 times.

Here is a quick explainer and demonstrator video, but I have beginner videos ready to go as well:

And if for anyone up for a 7- day challenge, I have some follow-along videos ready to go. We would start with only one rep on the first day, focussing on quality movement and understanding the benefits of each movement.

After 7 days we would end up with a 6 - 10 min practice, repeating each pose 7 times.

I have videos and suggestion how to adapt to beginners and chair based movements. So for those who are at the moment on the IC due to ankle or foot issues, some of these poses should still be doable.

And of course the champion S&Fers of us are free to continue to up to 21 repetitions, but I think 7 is just fine for me.

So how about it? Is anyone up for this?

Let me know!

And if yes, we’ll start this Sunday!

I would love to have a go at the beginners or adapted poses, as I found a lot of them quite challenging last time due to my spinal flexibility limitation which is surgical and nature and there's nothing I can do about it.

Count me in, I'll give it a go 👍

Fabulous!!!! Yes, I’ve already been searching for some new videos to help us along, so it will be a mixture of old and new faces, both on our mat and various instructor YouTube screens.
