Sunday mornings I often have to make the difficult decision between running or rowing. There is a group row live on EXR (virtual, group rowing app) on 9am every second Sunday, and between the app and live chat on the stream on YouTube, it really feels like you’re part of a community.
Indoor rowing can be quite a lonely experience, so these online groups help. And you get to know each other quite well, helping to understand various fitness journeys and opportunities.
But this sunny morning, the freshness beckoned me to a run, but it was also the first group row after various holiday breaks.
So I opened my windows wide, let the freshness of the morning in and chose to row with ca 50 other rowers worldwide.
I achieved a sub 30 min 5k, which I’m always chuffed about as I’m far from achieving that when running.
Great way to start a Sunday morning!
