Resistance Band Advent Calendar Challenge

Day 4/24

Oh goody! B for beginner. Green means chest!

This looks very doable as long as you can find a chest-height door anchor. My bands came with a door hanger, and it is suggested to be ultra careful if replacing with an alternative.

I have seen people use towels, though. The towels need to be tied in a knot, with the knot being on the other side from which you pull the door shut / or against the jamb.

Always put the anchor so the door pulls into/against the jamb, which in my case, is into the hallway. Bathroom doors are often suggested, as one can more easily make sure that no-one will surprise you trying to open that door.

Hello Neighbor! 👋 My street as well!

Hooray 👏🥳I've just done this while waiting for my porridge to cook. No adaptation needed, my long band and the patio door handle to loop it through.

Now will I manage a run between the rain showers?

Well done! Sounds like the perfect time and place to do these mini exercises!

My street too!

Who would have thought that the top of the Newel post on my small middle landing was at chest height AND the perfect anchor point !!

Anchor point acorn!

I was struggling to think of an anchor point and used this idea. Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed today’s exercise.

I didn't have the right band but wrapped my long one around me and did it definitely felt the upper arm stretch so I liked this one

Done! (boy, was I glad my door anchor worked with door not opening and getting snapped in my back with the band. )

Ooofff! So nice, I did it twice 😀 I have a door strap so I popped it behind on the the bedroom doors and did the exercise into the upstairs landing. One set this morning, and a second just now. The antibiotics must be doing their job, as I managed both sets without a coughing fit too 😊

After yesterday's complete (albeit hilarious!) failure, it was nice to get a small sense of achievement today 💪
