Just a quick reminder that in the 1st of December, we will start our very own Resistance Band Advent Calendar Challenge! 📅 🎄
How exciting! And thanks to everyone who has already joined our advents challenge! I am so looking forward to this!!!
😀😀😀😀😀😀
More details in our last teaser post at healthunlocked.com/strength...
As mentioned, I will post one exercise per day (actually the night before), and each post has the image of the card that provides the instructions, as well as a link to the demonstration video.
In the current image, you can see the two cards with some instructions or guidelines as per card image:
Each image of a card will depict the following:
- there is a code on each card that leads to the video, but I will put the video link into the body of each post, as well
- the colour of each card has some signification:
a) pink cards - back
b) red cards - core
c) orange cards - arms
d) yellow cards - legs
e) green cards - chest
f) blue cards - cardio
g) purple cards - shoulders
e) brown cards - full body
At the bottom of the card there will be instructions on how many repetitions, or how long a position is asked to be held.
This line also has some indication of the level of the exercise, from
B - Beginner
I - Intermediate
A - Advanced
All - All Levels
And as a little reminder to us all, please be reminded of the following exercise guidelines:
1) If you feel pain, STOP! Something is wrong!
2) Start with light resistance and focus on performing the target reps with excellent technique. This is the perfect warm up. Gradually add resistance until you are challenged to do the target reps with good technique. This is your work out resistance.
3) A workout should be challenging and uncomfortable, but NOT painful. The goal is to moderately stress your body so it adapts positively to the stress. Too much stress slows your progress and leads to injury.
We start on 1st December! See you then!
