Week 2 / Row 1: cold and cool

I am nursing a heavy cold at the moment, 😪🤒🤕 with sneezing fits, sore throat, runny nose, and a strange itchy neck. Just to note, I tested negative for COVID, it’s probably one of the vicious colds or flus going around.

And it cannot be that bad as I did chose to do an easy 30 min indoor row with my hooked up Zwift. Not sure that was smart or not, but it was an easy row, and it awarded me with a new virtual black top and some cool glasses! 😎🤣😎🤣😎🤣🏃🏼‍♀️

At least it makes me feel I’m still involved in some running activities, even if only virtually and actually rather rowing.

Whatever rocks our boat (rowing … get it?) and what gets us to the mat!

I've always followed the rule that as long as the cold is neck-up, it's fine to exercise. I used to have an amazing rowing machine, but rowing just didn't agree with me. Good that you've managed to hook it up to zwift, it must help the time pass.

Nice rule. Yesterday it was definitely neck up, today I’m not so sure anymore as it’s moved into a chesty cough. Bummer. First cold since ca 2 years!

And yes, hooking up Zwift to my rower has given me a whole new motivation! Also found a FB group of Zwift rowers, so having a community cheering you on really helps, as we know!
