🧘🏿‍♀️A short post to just say, yup I finally have gotten to know Adriene and her Yoga, today with a mini session of Yoga for sensitive knees.

🐕 And I can agree with others on this forum how lovely she (and her dog) actually is! Very calming, maybe a tad too short or too easy compared to some other knee workouts. But lovely. (And boy do I like her leggins!)

🦵So what is different from the other Pilates based knee workouts?

🧘🏽Well, it is more meditative. It’s also slower, in that one slow posture flows into another and that flow might be repeated a few times. Here in this Yoga session, the effort lies in holding positions rather than expending effort to move. Almost like the movement is the release from holding a position, whereas in the Pilates sessions yesterday, the movements take the effort and one relaxes into static poses.

😅 She also does a downward dog with dog, which my knees make it difficult.

☺️ But am all calm and happy tonight due to Adriene.

🏋️ Happy working out everyone!

So glad you got on well with Adriene ☺️ She’s so easygoing and calm. Love her sessions. Look up the calendar yoga sessions when your knees are feeling stronger 😊🙏🏼🧘🏼‍♀️

.... and she has so many pairs of lovely leggings that they are different (and lovely) in every one of her videos as far as I can tell 😊. It is different to other forms of exercise; the 'flow' sessions or 'vinyasa flow' sessions tend to be faster and you go in and out of poses as a flow of movements, but most sessions are more meditative and focus on how the poses feel.

Yeah, I’ll definitely will come back to her at some point. For the moment I happen to rather explore Pilates, and I am it’s newest fan! Thanks for explaining vinyasa, as I was not quite sure how it differed from other yoga.
