Hi guys,

What’s your go to bit of home kit?

I have a very small flat and cannot have fitness machines but would like something in my fitness catalog.

I was thinking skipping rope, pull up bar, resistance bands, dumbbells that type of thing.

Thank you 😊

In addition to the things you mentioned HappyNoodle you could get a yoga mat and a pair of kettlebells, on non running days you can do inside yoga along with a YouTube video.

The floor. When it is clear enough I do planks. Not much floor space on a pirate ship though. Skipping rope has to be a good one. I might use mooring ropes...

I’m practicing planks and this horrible thing called side planks, they are currently impossible ‘keep your knee on the floor for an easier version’ couldn’t get it off the floor at all! 😂🤣 definitely need to practice that more. I guess you get to climb the rigging of you pirate ship that’s got to be a good workout.

I am losing weight but my main goal is to be healthy so to get and remain fit. I am doing the NHS 12 week fitness plan and it’s mostly body weight. I have a month left of it and am building myself a new plan because I know I need the structure. I am incorporating running yoga cardio and strength. Using the videos on nhs website in my new plan but wondered what other people like to do.

I am eating 99.9 percent healthy, now.

Have been eating properly for the last two months, lost 18lbs. My aim is for a permanent change and to set a good example for my daughter.

Thank you for this I will read through 😊 My daughter eats well. It’s a case of do as I say not as I do 🤣

Pint glass? Foam roller maybe.

I mostly do body weight workouts, occasionally I use the dumbbells... but the best bit of kit would be the yoga mat... with wooden floors it really makes planks more pleasant!

My mat is my goto piece. I also have a balanceboard which doesnt require much space.

That all sounds great.... if you didnt have any room for pull up bars etc, then just a yoga mat is good for doing all manner of body only workouts.

I am lucky that I have a garden. So my stash includes: Pull up bar ( its cemented in the garden), weights and bar, resistance bands, kettlebells, pull up bar for the door frame and a selection of yoga mats. I have to say, I do use all of it so its all worthwhile.

Thank you 😊

I got a few bit some dumbbells and a bar with free weights using with caution for now. a FITT cube (I’m using for my press ups and tricep dips at the moment and will work my way up to using it to its full potential) I haven’t been able to manage to get a pull up bar but it’s on my list!
