I am going to add my first goal into my training plan for April so hopefully by the end I might of achieved my first goal
It will be the sort of challenge everybody can get behind, I am a great believer in inclusivity when it comes to our fitness so you will be able to make it fit with yourself.
I am thinking along the lines of
150 mins (or working up to if you need ) a week raising the heart rate a bit.
The (working up to) 150 mins can be anything that makes YOU a little breathless and feel worked, for some that could be a run, a cycle, a swim a Zumba class, that sort of idea.
For others it could be working up to a 5 Min Walk for 5 days with the thought to building that up every week. Or it could be working to incorporate these sitting exercises in to your week
Here are few webpages from the NHS for any one who is struggling to decide what to do. The first section is for those beginning their fitness journey.
Good week for me, physio went well identified the areas I need to work on, which is basically all my leg muscles 😀, but thankfully no injury as such just weakness and tightness so with hard work on my part I should get there and the pain should subside the stronger I get which will be great 😀
I did no yoga at all last week. Partly as I was away for two days (although I am normally quite capable of tucking myself out of sight by the room door and doing my practice) But mostly I think I just needed a break from a lot of things.
I did however take delivery of a yoga bolster as a treat to myself. I had vouchers from doing a survey and this seemed a good way to use them.
You know what I think sometimes we need to give ourselves the VIP treatment of not doing things and treating ourselves. I know when MrRfc was ill it was those sort of times that made me strong and kept me going. Just as important as a yoga session, take care of yourself. Rfc x
Exercise is going well, today was a running day in theory, but I want to drop onto parkrun again this week so I’ll start my running tomorrow. Today I’ve walked 4.6 miles and counting... left the car 3 miles from home after dropping Mrs UNM at work... so going to set off to collect her again soon... hopefully the car is still there 😂😂
Had a crazy issue with my broadband as it could only manage inbound traffic, which has had openreach scratching their heads a little... they fixed the outbound today, and broke the inbound, so I still can’t use it. I guess this means they are almost there with giving me a working system. They need to get it fixed so I can be back on here more.
Still going strong in most areas, however I have to admit to missing out on doing a exercise video over the weekend, as I just didn't feel like it..😑 tut..
For the record though😆..
Mon Ran 4.2k
Tue Pilates video
Wed Walk 4k after waiting in for Boilerman and I cleaned all the windows inside and out!
Thurs 14k Walk
Fri Ran 7k
Sat .......
Sun ........
Mon Ran 9k 😀
Still cooking from Michael Mosley's cookbook (low sugar so no potatoes or bread) but plenty of filling tasty food. I am feeling better and I think my middle is trimmer.😊
Off on holiday soon, so I won't be posting again in April. Have a good rest of the month everyone, and keep up the great work😊xx
I will get back to those exercises as they are helping my back I think.
Hello everyone, I am still keeping up with my strength exercises, most days (the odd lapse), and feeling a bit stronger. Lots more work before I can manage a proper pressup. Still managing to run three times a week but schedule keeps changing due to work shifts. Hopefully achieve an 8k on Saturday. Best of luck to all and keep up the good work 😊
