I was typing a reply to Johnnylewis and I was mentioning I have been working on my Strength for my hamstrings for 5 months now.
Somewhere along the line they got better. š. Just a few little exercises every week and I donāt feel the pull anymore. The stretch he gave me to do, I actually now look like I can do it š. And get real benefits from it.
I am surprised that just plugging away at it has helped and I feel so much stronger. I have faith in my physio, but they did feel like a very small things to be doing to help something that felt a lot bigger. Just goes to show how those little changes make a big difference.
Keep going everyone, it is worth it.š

Thatās really good to read... the small things certainly add up to something much bigger. As always youāre an inspiration to me... might have to add that stretch in next week.
I hadn't really acknowledged that my hamstrings donāt hurt anymore, strange how we can just accept things without thinking about it š. I can do the stretch above no problem now. When I was first given it to do it was so painful to try and straighten my leg, I now can straighten my leg and flex my feet for a deeper stretch. š.
I think the lack of pain is difficult to detect. After 30 years of knee pain and OldFloss pointing me here it was weeks before I realised that I hadnāt felt them for a while.
This is one of the stretches we do at the end of Pilates but I canāt get my leg that straight. Did you do it everyday for. A certain time to improve? Did you use a band to help? It would be great if I could stretch them a bit .
I started off with three times a week for a couple of months and then went to once a week with my gym session. I have weak hamstrings so I think it is something I will always have to do. My physio didnāt want me to use a band just go as straight as I could to begin with out pain and keep working on it. Now I can do it like the picture and the killer part was getting the sole of feet placed right, I started by not being able to flatten my foot to the ceiling but now I can get a good stretch as I flex my foot too. It was strange it just seem to happen without me realising it, I really do think that is why we have problems with S&F and motivation because it is not like distance and speed it is so hard to see our progress. Keep going. Rfc x
Thank you. I am a great one for routine, it takes a little while to set up a good one but once I have it it becomes like a little comfort thing that I want to do every week. Rfc x
Iām getting into a new routine with S&F too. It does take time, but it feels good when you get to the point where you know itās just what you do. Iām getting there I think. Enjoy! š¤ā¤ļø
