April Challenge

Maybe if I post in here, I might actually keep up with the 3 days a week flex and strength work outs that I’m aiming for.

Today was a run day - a half hour, slow recovery trundle after a fast (for me) 5k event on Saturday. My calves are currently a bit tight, so I’ll definitely have to do something about those tomorrow. Unfortunately, my wrist, which I broke last November and is mostly totally fine now, decided that it didn’t like the action involved in opening the fanlight windows at my daughter’s house today and is very painful right now, so I’ll be picking and choosing my exercises very carefully.

Good recovery run... well done on Saturday too. Hope the wrist is fine tomorrow... it takes a while after a break.

Thanks.

It does take a while, and today I couldn’t even attempt my scheduled physio exercises 😕

Hi Maddee, I have been struggling to do extra strength work regularly too. I'm hoping to keep it up now I'm using a video to exercise along with, and making myself accountable on here.😊

I hope you can loosen those calves a bit today, I do heel drops and toe lifts after my runs and last night user the massage roller on them before bed as I had the same issue. I don't think I drink enough water.

Hope you find some good exercises to do today, mindful of your wrist.

Well done with your running!

😊 xxx

I just get so bored doing them! I need to find a few different/new ones to do. I’ve actually taken the Wii Fit upstairs and am going to ask the husband to set it up in the spare room. It’s not been used for at least 2 years, so I hope it still works!

I too generally do heel drops and calf lifts after a run, though I had to rely on leaning against the car to stretch the other day.

Be careful, rest that wrist if it needs it. Hehe, squats can be done without wrists and are good for calves 😀.

They can. Foam rolling can be a bit tricksy though 🤦‍♀️

At least it isn’t injured, as such.
