I posted here in Feb 19 about Green Gym.I had the intention to give our story with a collage of pics.Perhaps if I get the teckie smarts I will manage one day.
Nonetheless here is a short account on what we are upto.
We are 14 weeks down the road as an independent green gym group of around 16 members.Some new members and some departures.
We have established all our strength inventory,warm up routines (including aerobic), stretching routines and practising tried and tested cardio regimes.
We are establishing the 30/20/10 method of moving the group from station to station around the park in our one hour session and to be able to cater for all abilities and paces.We have exercises to do on the move and when the tail walkers regroup with the trotters.We have multi and varied strength and cardio routines to perform at 6-8 stations as we go.
We now have established a rota of leaders and also a sub group C25k Penrhos Streakers of Green Gym.
We have 6 in the sub group and will finish wk3.3 tomorrow.Also going to make the running group an open and rolling programme which will afford the opportunity to those that wish to give themselves the gift of running.
I think we have made a lot of progress with 4 sessions per week.
Onwards and upwards.
Thanks to the marathon forum for all the advice I received there just two days ago.It really has helped and as always very wise and much appreciated.
