backs of hands

does anyone here get red spots on the backs of their hands and tops of fingers?

yes tiny pin prick ones .. last about week then disappear 🫥 x

Hi T - thanks. Strange skin symptoms are coming thick and fast - not in number but variety! It took ages to identify my purple/red spots as petetchia and purpura but now I seem to be getting something like telangiectasia - only 2 or 3.

However, at work the other day, under the bright lights of my desk and while serving a patient my left hand suddenly errupted in bright pink spots, ever so slightly raised with a centre. Not a great look! They went down by the next day but had literally srpung up before my eyes - there were even 2 tiny ones on the top of my thumb.

Of course, like all the other spots and bruises I took photos! My phone gallery is full of pictures of my various spots.

Yes I also have a wonderful gallery of spots and rashes some tame some shocking ! Isn’t it funny how they pop up and disappear as quickly as they came …

Do you have telangiectasia anywhere else ? I have them on eye lids (looks like I use purple eye liner) we truly are medical mysteries !!,

I get bright purple/red ones (petechia/purpura) on my neck, sometimes under sides of tops of my arms, neck, chest and more recently in my left ear and slap bang in the middle of my right cheek. Also had a mini rash of them on top my swollen finger. I regularly get petechiae on backs of both hands. They look like tiny red freckles. Those tend to fade within a day but the bigger purple ones can take about a week to go away. They never used to break the surface but the recent ones on my cheek and chest did - looked like they were 'leaking' but strangely the blood still looked kind of blue.

I find it all really freakish, especially how quickly they appear.
