This weekend a fellow sufferer told me about a rectal cream that has been found to relieve Raynauds, but he couldn't remember the name of it. He said it is not yet widely available so you have to ask your GP for it. Does anyone else know about this and what it's called? My thoughts are that it can't be haemorrhoid cream as that would constrict the blood vessels and make things worse!

Yes your exactly right, didn't help me at all.
In Australia that rectal cream is called Rectogesic. I have used it on my finger and then wrapped my finger with Gladwrap/ plastic wrap. It works as a vasodilator. I was advised about this by a Rheumatologist.
Thank you. I'll see if it's available here. Ah, yes, you can get it on prescription, same name. It is normally used for anal fissures and increases the blood flow to the area. medicines.org.uk/emc/produc...
That's right. I used it to increase blood flow during winter when my fingers were really bad in combination with gloves, heat pads etc. Make sure you wrap your finger in plastic wrap to keep cream on your finger/s.
