Hi does anyone have enlarged veins on their chest xray? My daughter is having trouble breathing on exertion. Recently had an enlarged spleen as well. They have just seen this on her xray and she is being referred to cardiology now x

Hi shaunalouise26 😊🌸🌿🦋

I just wanted to send you some comforting words and love. Sorry about the concerns for your daughters X-ray. It is great that she is being seen by the cardiologist for her symptoms and the dilated veins. The cardiologist will take the history and want to see the X-ray and probably order diagnostic testing. Try to keep her from exerting herself until after the doctor sees her just to be safe.

Sending you both gentle gentle hugs 🤗 love 💗 kisses 😘 and prayers 🙏. Take care and best wishes dear.

Hi thanks for your kind reply. She's only 12 and not diagnosed although showing lots of symptoms of a connective tissue disease and teleangectasias. I have CTD as well reynauds possibly lupus and scleroderma and showing positive for polymyositis as well. I've phoned her school advised she doesn't do any exertion in PE etc until we see the cardiologist and establish what's going on. X

So glad to hear of your preventing PE exertion in school. Sooo very sorry about all of your conditions dear. I’m sure you are aware oh the inherited things you can pass on to her. I’ve prayed for you both and hope all is under control soon.

I’m in the USA 🇺🇸 and over here too many children are lost to unknown preexisting conditions and they died after exertion. I hope things will change worldwide 🌎 so this senseless tragedy can be prevented. Best wishes for you both dear.

Good luck Ncoff. My daughter got her appointment for next week but I'm assuming it's just an initial consultation and more tests will be needed. Let me know how you get on x

Hi echo was normal apparently. She had a 24 hour heart monitor on Monday awaiting results. Ended up at hospital again with her 2 days ago referred by gp for reduced sensations on her skin. Was discharged because her observations were ok. He asked if she would be interested in camhs. Really not in her head she isn't anxious at all x
