Hi Everyone,

does anyone else have itching around their neck and collarbone - i have been applying steriod cream - helps a little.

On another note my wrists - find it tough to twist them round - my fingers seem to have curled - any advice - I am seeing the scheloderma specialist @ salford on Friday.

regards,

Naila

Naila_007. I have the same problem with itching, I use Cetraben emollient cream, prescribed by my doctor. When I was first diagnosed with scleroderma 3 years and whilst in hospital I saw a dermatologist, who prescribed the cream, it has been a big help, showering twice a day helps and then apply the cream. My neck, collarbone and back get very itchy.

I have curled fingers and cannot use them properly, I use a dibber for my iPad and has helped open up the fingers very slightly, in the early days I used a stress ball to try and uncurl the hands. I see a hand surgeon every year and he thought the dibber (a pen with a rubber top) idea was a great Physio idea. Unfortunately, I cannot use a laptop and the fingers will stay as they are now, although they were closed like claws in the beginning, I use the backs of my hands like paws to apply cream and apply the cream on a good sized towel and move it from side to side to cream my back.

Don't know if any of this helps!

I use a few different things. The key is keeping oils on your body. I make my own salves with calendula and

Oils and cbd. Also nupercanel works cause it has a numbing and anti itch property in it. Drinking lottttts of water too!

Yeh it's over the counter ( in USA) and used for hemorrhoids! It also comes in handy if you need to remove a splinter it helps with the pain!
