Just wondering is it just me or do Scleroderma patients have difficulty bending down to pick up items or even squating. My knees seem really tight - i get a bit of relief when i use tiger balm - is there something similar a GP can prescribe.
I am doing stretching exercises regularly. Also taking mycophenolate 2000mg a day on week 10 - i have to say i can see difference in my skin on arms and hands but fingers are still so stiff and curled despite having regular wax baths. Maybe its a slow process.
regards,
Naila

It too suffer from reduced movement in knees, wrists & ankles. Routine stretching exercises & massage have helped me to regain some degree of flexability but my consultant has advised that it will be a long recovery process and I am unlikely to ever be as mobile as I once was. The key at the moment is to try not to lose any more motion range and to be fair I have noticed improvement in my joints although knees & ankle crack & hiss all the time now with exercise. It is a SLOW process but hopefully you will start to improve. Good luck
