Am I mad ?

Think I must be as it's the 29th June and I have had to put my central heating on. Has anyone else resorted to this or am I the only person thinks it's cold ,despite being Summer? Or maybe my symptoms are up to something no good.

No Lynn you are not mad!!! I am as well central heating on here as well, or maybe it's just colder in Somerset!!!! I even have my Wheatie tonite to keep my hands warm. Roll on Summer, if it ever gets here💦💦

Ah Jayne , glad I am not the only person who has resorted to switching it back on. Sad to say the forecast looks dire for another few weeks yet. 🌧🌧🌧 BUT on a positive note this Saturday is set to be lovely all day ☀️And it is to get warmer by a couple of degrees. Hooray we will be able to turn off the heating again. Hopefully all went well at Bath. Take care . Lynn X

No, you are most certainly not mad, or if you are, you are in good company. Lol! I turned on the central heating again yesterday, and my electric blanket because the bed felt cold.

This is the start of our second year in England, and my husband keeps asking where is Summer. Anyone know?

It hopefully will improve ! Let's hope July and August turn out great and we then have an Indian Summer September and October. 🌞🌞🌞☀️

Hi Lynn it's definitely not you but the weather! I had the fire in, by cosy blanket wrapped around my lower legs and feet and still they were cold! We need some warm weather! ❄️

Sorry to be a bit of a pessimist...but....in Scotland..where I live...we had summer a couple of weeks ago. We are now back to rotten weather of rain and cold. Just the weeds are having a great time!

My heating hasn't been turned off all year....and I'm permanently wearing fingerless mittens! Everything crossed that summer arrives soon - and not just for a day 👒

Heating on, wrapped in blanket! When my husband came home he said the house was like an oven but it was only just right for me.

Dont think u mad Lynn, i had heating on yest, temp outside had dropped to 8°. I actually in the end had to retire to bed with electric blanket on to get heat in2 my bones. Xx

Hey Lynn: No, I too use the heater and the fan. Seems as if the only recourse for me is the use of both. I hope you warm up, and not have constant pain. Take care.

I'm putting my electric blanket back on the bed tomorrow too. Ivebeen lying awake cold with my winter duvet and a couple of blankets. The fleece pjs are back out and the thermal socks! I just want to be warm 😀Xx

Thanks everyone for your reply. I just thought I was going mad as I see people out in skimpy tops, shorts etc all the time. I guess they are pretending its Summer. 🏖

I'm just going to keep the heating, fingerless gloves and bed socks on then until Summer does arrive.

Hi Lynn your not mad I even have my heated seat on in the car. Lol and I have to sit with my heat pack I put in the microwave to keep my hands warm.

No. I've avoided the central heating but I am wearing jumpers and gloves!!!! (Yup, indoors).
