I need to renew my driving licence as I am 70 in July. Has anyone had any experience of licence renewal where you have sleep apnoea?

Plain Sleep Apnoea or Obstructive sleep apnoea?

Yes I have had this experience, but it was seamless. The Sleep Clinic and DVLA, sorted it out between them. This was a long time ago, so maybe things have changed since.

I have just been through this exercise as I am 70 too, the DVLA will want your GP details and they will contact them, providing you are managing you Sleep Apnoea they should be no issue, your licence will be renewed for 3 years and you are asked to contact the DVLA should your condition change or deteriorate.
