Hello, I'm new to posting on this forum despite being a member for over 2 years. I very rarely sleep despite having chronic fatigue (connected to illness). I do blame my Prednisolone treatment for a lot but I'm sure I should be able to get more sleep than I do. I take magnesium tablets, magnesium salt baths, magnesium spray, weighted blanket, special pillow, lavender spray, chamomile tea and listen to my meditation at bedtime. I don't use my screens 2 hours before bed and read. Despite having a sleeping tablet recently prescribed by the doc, I don't feel refreshed, however long I get to sleep. Is there anything I'm missing??? 🤔

Have you had iron levels investigated? Sounds like steroids could be the issue though.
I haven't but will request when I have my next blood check. Thank you for the suggestion
Ferritin under 22 is anaemia and real trouble but healthy level is actually 100-200. It's complicated though but taken 65mg mostly daily safely for years and really has helped. Hope helps you or someone else here. I have asthma too. Getting test soon for apnea too. All the best 👍
Do you happen to have a low thyroid also? Look up Ray Peat on YouTube.
