Hey I’ve been prescribed zopiclone for 7 years now. Started in hospital for 6 months after a car crash. I left with a carry bag full of meds including morphine oromorph. The only medication that I panic about from at least 10 prescribed is zopiclone. Not morphine, but zopiclone. Why as now I can sleep or function and work without it. It does it job ..,, SLEEP. But trying to sleep now without it, it’s a horror nightmare. My GP told me zopiclone would be the last medication to reduce due to its addiction and impact on life

hi know how you feel. I tried to come off them by reducing but couldn,t sleep and my anxiety was through the roof. Ive been advised to start cbd oil and alternate days with Zopiclone and that, apparently it works so plan to give it a go soon. will post my experience on here.

Are they taking the zopiclone away from you? If not,. I don't see what the problem is. I'd say you're fortunate to have something that works for you.

Hi Roryo. Your doctor is right. I am stuck on it. I can’t even sleep two hours when I go off it. So I choose to stay on regardless of long term health issues I may be heading towards. I did cut the pills in half as I also have to take an antidepressant at night. Wishing you the best.

Have you had iron checked? I've come off zopiclone after years of it not an issue but addressed many other aspects first such as diet etc.

If it makes you sleep why would you want to get off it?

Janet80Yes, this rings so true with me. I don’t know what it does to one’s brain but I do know that after being on it for nearly 9 years now has had a horrible affect on my physical health. I wish I had never used it - but what’s the alternative when you’ve seen too many dawns come in and every minute that goes by feels like an hour?
