hey.

Any one with Sjogrens had thyroiditis. I had a scan in January which radiologist reported that it was in keeping with with autoimmune thyroiditis, there was also one cyst and one nodules. The thyroiditis episode started in october and i still get discomfort in my neck etc. i was referred to endocrinology or have redirected the referral to endocrine surgical team. My tsh t4 and t3 are normal and i have no antibodies. Does anyone know why i would have been referred to endocrine surgical team, and what they may do. The nodule is benign . Thanks x

I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. It was first discovered due to nodules. Anytime you have nodules you’ll usually get a referral for more tests. My thyroid was not functioning properly. I started taking thyroid replacement which shrunk the nodules further confirming thyroiditis (benign). I’ve taken thyroid replacement for many years.
