how have xylimelts worked for extreme dry mouth

I use them at night and they have definitely made a difference, I no longer wake up during the night with a mouth like the Sahara . I buy them on amazon.

Thank you , well I bought them, tried to use one last night, tried to stick the tan side to my bottom gum , tooth, molar at back of mouth and it wouldnt stick, slipped all over the place, ended up throwing away, thought I d practice during day today(although night time is the worst parched mouth) although can you you eat or drink if this tablet is in your mouth?

It might take a while to get used to them , but they should stick . I push it up high near the front. I can drink ok , I take drinks of water during the night . I haven’t tried them during the day so I don’t know what they would be like with a cup of tea or food.

Keep trying them as they help better than anything else Ive tried.

So you stick tablet on gum or tooth near front side of mouth, top or bottom?

I put them up high on the gum on the top , seems to work for me

Good advice from Weathervane but just be very careful if you have dogs as just a lick or a chew could kill them fast - same with chewing gum, salivex etc anything containing Xylitol

That’s good, I’m pleased that you got them, they are great aren’t they for dry mouth.

Use them day and night. Stick one to the bottom gum outside next to cheek just where your double teeth start. Gravity is kinder when you stick it to a bottom gum. I drink with one in it just goes down quicker in the day. Lasts about and hour in the day as opposed to about four hours in the night. If you are really dry then try two at once one each side of your mouth. Xylitol is good for teeth and gums and the moisture keeps your saliva going to protect your teeth and gums. Persevere its worth it. I also use xylitol small mints too during the day, I buy a pot that do not stick to your mouth but they work when you get dry in the day and a little cheaper too. Bach's flower remedy pastilles in a yellow tin are xylitol based too and are a little gum lozenge which lasts a while sitting in your mouth too. Good if you get dry throat and a cough too.
