Hiya I've been taking azathioprine since December last year, I'm on 150mg daily now, last week, had a phone call off gp to say my WBC & Lymphocytes are very low, having another blood test Tuesday to see how I go. I feel pretty rubbish at the moment.

Anyone else had this issue?

cheers

Hi Angellealea , i was on plaquenil and rituximab iver a year ago , when my wbc and neutrophils became very low , i had bloods done every other week , they went up and down but still never reached normal. I was taken off plaquenil which made no difference, then I slipped a disc and needed surgery. The surgeon wouldn’t operate until my blood improved because or risk of me getting an infection and not fighting it . I started taking a multi vit with selenium, vit c and zinc , i also got a nutribullet and made drinks with berries, kale and spinach, which were actually tasty. My blood improved , I don’t know if it was the vits or drinks but i got my operation !!

Good luck, I hope things improve 🌸
