5 more treatments to go

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to touch base with everyone and report my progress so far.I started chemo carboplatin/taxol on Jan 9, I did 9 treatments had a cat scan to see if my node decreased which it did and then I had surgery.I had to recover a bit from the hysterectomy/ node resection for 2 weeks and then went back to chemo to finish up.I have to say I certainly don't wish this on anyone but it really hasn't been horrible.I'm not sick at all but I do get tired after the carboplatin week,it usually gets better in 4 days and I'm back to myself again.I will have a post treatment cat scan to have a look see if anything is popping up 😬I hope not,but all in all I'm very thankful that I can even do this! I believe that the anti nausea drug Emend is what made the difference for me going forward with the treatments.I wish all patients received this drug during chemo because it truly is a lifesaver.I hope and pray for all of us on this journey.Stay strong XOXOπŸ’•β€οΈ

Hi Nancyanne , thank you for the progress update! I'm so glad to hear that your spirits are up and that chemo/medication have not taken too much of a toll on you. Good luck with the upcoming CAT scan! :)

Hi Nancy.

You're doing really well. I too had no bad side effects. Just tiredness after chemo. Few little nosebleeds. I'm through chemo now and just on avastin.

The nurses were telling me about the anti sickness meds. Saying how good they are now. They did a big trial on them. I'm glad they did as my biggest fear before chemo was the sickness I anticipated I'd get. I luckily had none.

I don't know why some people have a terrible time with chemo and some don't.

Anyway good luck with your treatment. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»Xxxx
