I have a history of esophagus motility, trouble getting food all the way down but it is very intermittent. Lately every nite I can’t manage to eat dinner without being stopped by the gas sitting in my esophagus . Do you think the medicine (Truqap’ could be aggravating this condition?

I don't know. I've also had a long history of larygal pharageal reflux which started back in 2013 when I was going through radiation treatments for stage 1 BC. The only thing that controls it for me is the herbal formula I receive from my Traditional Chinese medicine doctor. I've been seeing him since my MBC diagnosis in 2016. My TCM doctor makes a special hebal formula for me that includes evodia. Evodia is also known for anticancer propoerties particularly in breast cancer. I don't know the dosage, since my formula is a mix. I've tried removing having the evodia removed from the formula, but it doesn't work for me without it. TCM is known for relief and management of gastrointesinal issues that regular GI doctors aren't able to control. Perhaps there's a TCM office in your area?

Benfotiamine (metabolically available form of thiamine, or B1) is good for nerve regulation, as well as blood sugar regulation. I take one every day. When I forget to take it, I start experience nerve sensations that feel a little like pre-neuropathy. The benfotiamine makes it go away. If the esophogeal motility issues are nerve related, trying a vitamin that enhances nerve regulation might help. I failed an esophogeal motility test, too, but mine has been manageable with herbs and vitamins.
