Xeloda cream
I use Voltaren gel twice a day, followed by. A good urea cream . The voltaren really helps!
Can you approximate how much Voltaren you apply? I’ve been on Xeloda since September and have been using Voltaren plus Udderly Smooth with 10% urea mornings and bedtimes and my right fingertips still got cracked and sore after three months. I also use Aquaphor during the day and hand lotion with shea butter. I’m wondering if I’ve been too sparing with the Voltaren. They were able to heal while I dropped Xeloda for surgery but starting up again now and hope to avoid the HFS on my fingers.
Thanks!
is Voltaren like voltarol ie topical NsAID?
I thii i j there have been a few posts previously which might be helpful.
This lotion and the booties from Amazon really helped me when I was on Xeloda. I liked the booties because they were lightweight.
I have used Voltaren for my low back pain, but not on my feet. It’s worth a try. I hope you get a long time on the Xeloda. It was a pretty easy medication to tolerate for me.
Any basic cotton gloves and socks will do, though I think it is best to have thinner socks so your feet don't get too hot and make the hfs feel worse
Voltaren did nothing for me, but my podiatrist recommended Kamea 20 and it worked immediately. I use it on my hands as well with great success. You can get it online for a bit cheaper than I paid my podiatrist for a tube.I also use Arnica gel occasionally.
Any cotton socks or gloves work great at night. If I need gloves during the day I use the plastic ones similar to what doctors use. But I have to be careful not to use them too long on my hands get very sweaty and overly moist.
